Concrete Waterproofing

Waterproofing new and existing concrete surfaces often starts with a good project design featuring a multi-defence strategy. The most common is the barrier protection strategy, which often starts with correction to the substrate. Sika offers a variety of products suited to most concrete waterproofing situations.
Typically, positive and negative waterproofing strategies can be implemented using the following products:

Liquid Applied Waterproofing Membranes

Positive barrier protection can be achieved using the range of Sika and Concrete Protection manufactured products, all of which meet all applicable Australian Standards.

Cementitious Waterproofing – Sikalastic 1K
Cementitious membranes have the advantage of working well on both the positive and negative side. Sikalastic 1K is a flexible, fibre-reinforced mortar that only requires water for mixing.
Contec C1 Waterproofing Concrete Additive and Repair Compound
Contec C1 is a crystallising, self-sealing waterproofing system that turns porous concrete into a permanent, water-resistant barrier. Designed to provide a structural defence against water damage and steel reinforcement corrosion, Contec C1 reacts with the unhydrated cement particles to permanently block the pathways for water and waterborne contaminants.

Contec FLEX Two Part Flexible Cementitious Membrane System
Contec FLEX combines a liquid and powder to create a flexible membrane system for both positive and negative applications, ideal for remedial projects.

Mapelastic Smart
